Partners And Communities Together

The Borough Green, Wrotham and Platt  PACT  panel comprises local people and organisations working together to improve the quality of our lives.

Established in 2007, PACT arose from an idea of local residents Lottie Cook and Jonathan Broad which coincided with other developments.

There was a strong realisation that community problems are rarely solved by a single agency alone but by the active co-operation of a number of organisations coming together to focus their combined effort.

Our PACT Panel members come from residents, the three Parish Councils, Kent Police, Russet Homes and Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council.

Depending on the problem, we also call for help upon others with specific expertise  -  for example education, youth workers, Environment Warden to help with dog fouling and litter etc., the Highways Inspector, Parking Inspector and volunteers like Neighbourhood Watch and Residents Associations.

Going Walkabout

Early activities have included a "walk-about" in each Parish when residents had a chance to identify issues which adversely affect their lives. These were followed up with meetings where action was decided upon. Issues identified across TN15 included crime, health, education and learning, levels of work, housing and the physical environment, street lighting, noise, dog fouling, parking, bus and postal services.

Some were big, others small, but nonetheless unnecessary irritants.

Through PACT we can influence and shape services in our area, identify our priorities with partners and help create a community spirit and ownership for TN15.

PACT TN15 is not a talking shop. We are here to act.

If you want to get involved or have a community problem we will do our best to find a solution. Contact us by going to the MESSAGE BOARD> page, or email partners@pact-tn15.org
