About Russet Homes
We were created in January 1991, following the purchase of the housing stock owned by Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, and were one of the first Large Scale Voluntary Transfer (LSVT) Housing Associations. We own and manage over 6000 properties, ranging from one-bedroom flats to four bedroom (and a few larger) houses.
Our aims are to
- Provide, maintain and improve homes to meet the needs of our present and future tenants.
- Provide high quality, local services, working closely with all customers and partners.
- Keep rents and other charges as low as possible and ensure best value by operation in a cost efficient and effective manner.
- Develop and support our staff and agents to help achieve our goals.
- Operate with a commitment to equality and diversity in all our activities.
- Be the best in class amongst our peer group.
We are run by a Board of Management which consists of 13 unpaid volunteers, comprising:
- 5 tenants, directly elected by all tenants every three years.
- 8 community members with particular business, professional or social skills.

Circle Anglia, an affordable Housing Group, owns and manages over 46,000 homes in London, East Anglia, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Kent and Essex. The group provides a range of affordable housing choices, included general needs, sheltered and supported housing, together with a range of responsive care support and maintenance services. Circle Anglia develops 2,000 new homes per year, order to cross subsidise, and maximise our affordable housing development programme.
